Cell Growth & Viability
Canty's dynamic imaging based systems provide an in-line characterization of cells. The imaging technique provides an in depth characterization of the cells, which include particle size/shape & colour data together with outputting cell densities up to 8 million cells/ml. In addition to cell particle size and cell density measurement the system also provides measurement data on the the cell viability without the addition of dyes due to the industry leading image quality.

Bioreactor
Manual monitoring of BioReactor process is done through the use of the Canty Fuseview™ and Fibre Optic Lighting System, providing the operator with light and sight on one vessel connection, saving space, and also ensuring optimum illumination of the area which the operator is viewing.Canty also provide a modular camera light combination unit to provide a remote continuous view into the vessel. In order to optimize yield at production level, Canty’s Lab based GRM (Glass Reactor Microscope) delivers high quality images, thus allowing the operator to have a visual insight into the lab scale reaction along with providing size, shape and concentration data. The real time data and high quality images, gives the operator the ability to optimise the parameters during the process in order to improve performance and increase product yield, which can be transferred to production level.

Centrifuge & Filtration
Monitoring of centrifuge processing (either a batch or continuous) is done through the use of the Canty Fuseview™ and Fibre Optic Lighting System, providing the operator with light and sight on one vessel connection, saving space on the vessel head, and also ensuring optimum illumination of the area which the operator is viewing. Canty also provide a modular camera light combination unit to provide a remote continuous view of the centrifuge process from the control room. Cantyvision image analysis software allows for cake thickness measurement and cake colour (used to indicate stage of filtration). Canty's range of liquid colour and particle sizing systems can be used to monitor the performance of the filter as well as looking for filter breakthrough."

Protein Agglomerates
Protein aggragets are of major concern within the manufacturing stage of vaccines and storage of vaccines as they can be asscoiated with severe immune responses. Canty’s image based particle analysis system provides high quality images along with particle size (down to 0.7microns), shape and concentration in order to characterise the protein aggregates.The system also provides the additional option of a syringe pump feed, which allows small volumes of sample to be analysed.
