Overview
Spray Dryer Fluid Bed Monitoring of spray drying process is done through the use of the Canty Fuseview™ and Fibre Optic Lighting System, providing the operator with light and sight on one vessel connection, saving space on the vessel and also ensuring optimum illumination of the area which the operator is viewing (typcially the area of interest is the spray nozzles to monitor spray angle, check for blockage / ""bearding"". Canty also provide a modular camera light combination unit to provide a remote continuous view of the spray drying process from the control room. Cantyvision image analysis software allows for the measurement of the spray angle as well as automated detection of nozzle blockages."

The CANTY In-Line Turbidity, Color Measurement or Percent Solids Measurement System uses a 0-1” variable insertion measurement gap, which is unique to the Canty system. This insertion is made possible by the Fuseview™ sight glass, which allows the optical fused pieces to be located in the center of the fluid stream. This provides the highest velocity, most representative profile and automatically flushes the fused glass even in the harshest of environments.

Canty Spray Dryer Monitoring Systems are vision based, industrial camera / light combinations used to view spray nozzle patterns in real time. This allows operators to see changes in the profile of the spray pattern, and detect clogging before it becomes a problem. Operators can easily view for product build-up before there is a chance for fire. This Vision System can be automated by the Canty Vector™ Image Processor to measure the size and shape of the spray pattern profile. Alarms can then be sent to the control system if nozzles clog or the spray pattern changes.
